KAMAE
Your state of mind reflected into your body to generate a cohesive posture of psychological and structural strength that is not solely dependent upon external positioning.
AIKI
A subtle kamae manipulation skill, executed through the control of coordinated muscle tone. Utilising physics and bio-mechanics in your favour, this primary principle initiates kuzushi to allow efficacy in techniques.
KUZUSHI
The principal of creating instability/weakening of an opponent’s
Equilibrium
Structural integrity
Psychological focus.
KOKYU
This core principle is more than just life support. Breathing cohesively through your kamae enhances Aiki, kuzushi, power generation, techniques and initial physical movement.
TAI SABAKI
The principle is not using your legs to move your body, but using your whole body to move yourself into tactically advantageous positions and flow effectively through techniques.
KIAI
This is principal is more than a loud noise to focus yourself and causes distraction. Kiai also explosively releases directed vibrational power from a chain reaction of Aiki, kokyu, hara, core joints & limbs. Kiai greatly amplifies kuzushi and Jutsu principals, also allows incredibly fast Taisobaki.
JUTSU
Distilled martial art principals that are not hindered by style or rules, Subdivided into these groups…
KANSETSU / Joint Manipulations
SHIME / Constrictions
KYUSHO / Vital points
NAGE / Throws
ATEMI / Strikes
BUKI / Weapons
Combined to affect body systems...
MUSCULAR SKELETAL
CARDIOVASCULAR
RESPIRATORY
NERVOUS
ORGAN
Learn how to seamlessly incorporate these de-stylised principles into your art. Hosie Sensei believes that all the martial arts like Karate, Judo, Win Chun, Aikido, Tai Chi, Jujitsu and Ba Gua for example... All originally had the same core principles, it is only their expression that separated them.
He looks forward to meeting you on one of his open seminars...
